Emerge Society YouTube Operations
Emerge Society YouTube Operations is an internal tool used by the authorized production team to manage the Emerge Society Courses YouTube channel through Google's official YouTube Data API.
What the application does
- Reviews channel videos and their current metadata.
- Updates video titles and descriptions after operator review.
- Uploads private or unlisted production assets when needed.
- Changes a reviewed video's visibility from unlisted to public only after explicit human approval.
Who can use it
This is not a public product or learner login. It is used only by authorized members of the Emerge Society production team on controlled production workstations. Access is granted by the Google account that owns or manages the channel and can be revoked at any time.
Safety controls
Metadata writes and publishing are disabled by default. Each write requires an explicit confirmation, and publishing has a separate approval gate. The application does not provide a video-deletion action.
Google account access
Google OAuth is used for authorization. The application never asks for or stores a Google password. Its requested YouTube permission allows the authorized production account to view and manage channel content.
