Emerge Society YouTube Operations

Last updated: September 4, 2026

Scope

This policy applies only to the private Emerge Society YouTube Operations application described atblocklaunchinstitute.com/youtube-operations. It does not replace any separate privacy terms that may apply to the Block Launch Institute learning platform.

Application operator

MelloD Designs, Inc. operates this internal production application for Emerge Society. Privacy questions or data requests may be sent to [email protected].

Google user data the application accesses

After an authorized channel manager grants access through Google OAuth, the application may access YouTube channel and video information needed for production operations, including channel identifiers, video IDs, titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, caption information, playlist membership, upload and processing status, privacy status, and public video statistics.

The requested youtube.force-ssl scope is a broad channel-management permission. Although that Google scope can support video deletion, this application deliberately does not provide a video-deletion action.

How Google user data is used

Google user data is used only to carry out production actions requested by an authorized operator:

  • listing and reviewing channel videos and metadata;
  • preparing, validating, and applying title or description changes;
  • uploading private or unlisted production assets when requested;
  • managing thumbnails, captions, or playlists when requested; and
  • publishing a reviewed video only after explicit human approval.

Google user data is not used for advertising, profiling, or sale. It is not used to determine credit, employment, housing, insurance, or other eligibility.

Storage and retention

OAuth credentials are stored in the private user directory of an authorized production workstation, not on this public website. Access tokens and refresh tokens are retained until access is revoked, the credentials are deleted, or they are no longer needed for channel operations.

Limited operational records may include video IDs, proposed metadata, operator approvals, and API results. They are retained only as long as reasonably needed for review, troubleshooting, audit, and production continuity, then deleted when no longer needed.

Sharing and disclosure

Google user data is available only to authorized production personnel and service providers acting on their instructions to operate the application, including the configured AI-assisted operator interface. Data is transmitted to Google as required to call the YouTube Data API. It is not sold or shared with advertisers. It may be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to protect the security and integrity of the application and channel.

Security

Access is limited to authorized workstations and production accounts. The application uses OAuth rather than collecting Google passwords, keeps write operations disabled by default, requires explicit confirmation for changes, and applies a separate approval gate before publishing.

Your controls and deletion requests

An authorized Google account holder can revoke the application's access fromGoogle Account connections. The local OAuth credentials can also be deleted from the authorized workstation. To request deletion of operational records associated with this application, contact[email protected].

Google API Services User Data Policy

Emerge Society YouTube Operations' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes to this policy

This page will be updated before material changes are made to how the application accesses, uses, stores, or shares Google user data. The revision date at the top identifies the current version.
